GRE is the benchmark of evaluation for most of the graduate schools and professional educational institutions. Colleges of many countries use the GRE benchmark for their admissions. These schools and colleges use the GRE scores as a measure of skill, knowledge and aptitude levels of the students. The GRE tests are comprehensive in the subjects that they cover and conduct a thorough examination of the students who attempt the tests. Students from all parts of the world take the GRE tests and by doing so, they are not only attempting to pass the examination to gain entry into top level colleges; they are also directly competing with other students for the limited number of seats that are available for admissions in colleges. The competition is not just restricted to the admissions; it is also to gain entry in the top colleges in institutions who only select the top percentile students. It is not enough to just pass this examination; the scores must be high enough to ascertain entry into the top percentile of the students and gain admissions to top institutions, as a result. With such intense competition limited options, people who are not adequately prepared are likely to end up with inadequate scores and lose out on their opportunities.
